Wingmint vs FlightCircle

The FlightCircle alternative with lower fees and a better calendar.

Both are $10-ish per aircraft. The difference is in payment processing, scheduling UX, compliance enforcement, and API access.

FlightCircle is $10 per aircraft per month with Fiserv ACH at 1.09% to 2.89% plus a $14.95 gateway fee. Wingmint is $9 per aircraft per month with Stripe ACH at 0.92% capped at $5.75. On a 4-aircraft club ACH'ing ~$13K/month in dues, Wingmint all-in is ~$156/mo vs ~$195–$430/mo on FlightCircle depending on Fiserv's tiered rate. Wingmint also ships TSA FTSP enforcement at booking time, Keycafe SmartBox key exchange, a Google-Calendar-grade scheduling UI, and a public REST API on every plan — all of which are missing or paid add-ons on FlightCircle.

Honest head-to-head. Checks where they ship it too — misses where they don't. Fact-checked against public documentation as of April 2026.

FlightCircle squawks can ground aircraft manually via toggle. No automatic 91.205 inoperable-equipment logic.

Which one should you pick?

Straight answer — no sleight of hand.

Choose Wingmint if

You want the lowest all-in cost and a modern UX.

Stripe ACH at 0.92% capped at $5.75, Google-Calendar-grade scheduling, TSA FTSP enforcement, Keycafe key exchange, and a public API included on every plan. If your club needs the cheapest payment processing and the best scheduling experience, Wingmint wins.

Stick with them if

You value the EAA endorsement and want a proven track record.

FlightCircle has been operating for years, has the EAA partnership, and your club may already be set up on it. If the EAA endorsement matters for your board's buy-in and you can live with the Fiserv fee structure, FlightCircle is a known quantity.

Comparison FAQ

Wingmint vs FlightCircle details.

How much cheaper is Wingmint than FlightCircle?
The platform line is $1 less per aircraft ($9 vs $10). The real savings are on payment processing. A 4-aircraft, ~200-member club ACH'ing ~$13K/mo in dues pays roughly $156 per month on Wingmint vs roughly $195 to $430 per month on FlightCircle, depending on Fiserv's tiered rate. Wingmint is Stripe ACH at 0.92% capped at $5.75; FlightCircle is Fiserv ACH at 1.09–2.89% plus a $14.95 monthly gateway fee with no per-transaction cap. FlightCircle also requires credit card processing to be enabled alongside ACH — Wingmint lets you run ACH only.
Does FlightCircle have an API?
FlightCircle publishes API documentation at flightcircle.com/apidocs. However, API access is a paid add-on — it is not included on the base plan. Wingmint includes full REST API access on every plan with no add-on fee.
Is FlightCircle partnered with EAA?
Yes. FlightCircle is the official EAA Flying Club software partner and is listed on the EAA Flying Club Resources page with a member discount. This is a real advantage for FlightCircle — EAA endorsement carries trust in the flying club community. Wingmint is not currently an EAA partner.
Does FlightCircle handle TSA FTSP compliance?
FlightCircle has a 'TSA Security Clearance' flag on the Pilot tab that can gate dispatch. This is a manual checkbox set by an admin — it does not include document upload, automated verification, booking enforcement based on ftsp_status, or expiration tracking. Wingmint enforces the full 49 CFR 1552 workflow: document upload, admin verification, automatic booking block, and expiration warnings.
Why can't I enable ACH-only billing on FlightCircle?
FlightCircle's payment processing through Fiserv requires credit card processing to be enabled alongside ACH — you cannot use ACH alone. This adds the Fiserv credit card processing fee structure on top of the ACH rate. Wingmint on Stripe lets you offer ACH only, card only, or both — it is your choice.
Can I migrate from FlightCircle to Wingmint?
Yes. Export your aircraft, members, and balances from FlightCircle as CSV. Wingmint imports them directly. Stripe replaces Fiserv for payment processing. Most clubs complete the switch in an afternoon.
